Cllr Trevor Wright meets with transport minister raising local issues around hs2

​We know just how chaotic and frustrating HS2 is having on the community particularly in terms of the removal of trees, road closures and general disruption and whilst it affects many areas, please be concerned that both Cllr Pam Redford & Cllr Trevor Wright have discussions and meetings with both HS2 and its contactors within our area on a weekly basis in order to facilitate and minimise the impact on our area.

We have been particularly critical of various planning aspects around the ground works and road closures, environmental impacts and communication with local residents.

We are very active with both Jeremy Wright MP and the HS2 Community Commissioner on an ongoing basis in order to facilitate the best possible outcome for our community.

Recently Cllr Trevor Wright along with Jeremy Wright MP and various members of the community & Parish Council members met with the Andrew Stephenson, Minister for Transport to discuss their issues and in particular raise concerns about the overall communication process and involvement of the local community in order to ensure he was completely aware of the issues and concerns.
