We are very pleased to be able to inform you an initial 406 residents their £150 energy rebate payment.
This was achieved due to the dedication and hard work of several people including in ICT and finance. Which has helped to get these initial payments over the line. We recognise that this is a small number, but it was felt that an initial small batch was the right way to go to confirm the process worked. We will now push on and try and make payments every day, we are paying them to the Direct Debit payers first and starting with those that paid their DD to us on 1st April, we will then move on to those who paid on the 5th, then 10th and so on. For information, there is c. 32,000 of these to pay and we have a daily limit on payments (due to system constraints) of 4,900 payments a day. As I’m sure you can all imagine there is also a large amount of manual intervention required before the payment file can be submitted to finance, ensuring eligibility is validated. Once the bulk of this work is completed, we will be contacting all those eligible residents who do not currently pay via DD, they will receive a letter from WDC asking them to complete an online form (on the WDC website) enabling us to then verify the details supplied and commence payment of these too c. 13,000. If you have any specific questions around this, as always, please do not hesitate to contact us. Warning...…. As I have said before , please make sure and be mindful that there are several Scams about and if anyone has any doubts, please contact us Comments are closed.
