High Speed Two (HS2) is the new high speed railway for Britain. Early works for HS2 are carried out by LM – a joint venture between Laing O’Rourke and J. Murphy & Sons.
There will be a temporary road closure on Leicester Lane Last month we informed you that there would be a temporary road closure to carry out roadside vegetation clearance safely. However, to complete the works, there will be a further road closure in place on Leicester Lane near Cubbington on Saturday 30 October 2021. All traffic management will be in place between 8:00am and 1:00pm. Our teams will be on site one hour before and one hour after the works to set up and secure the site at the end of the day. This traffic management is to allow safe access along the roadside as part of HS2 works in the area, which includes vegetation removal. While the closure is operational, signed diversion routes will be in place and access to properties and businesses will be maintained. Please see the map overleaf for more information. HS2 and the COVID-19 outbreak We are continually reviewing the works on our construction sites in line with Government and Public Health England (PHE) advice on dealing with COVID-19. The Government’s current COVID-19 strategy makes clear that construction activity can continue as long as it complies with this guidance. The health and safety of our workforce and the communities we affect is our key priority. Please be assured that those sites that are currently still working are doing so because they can operate within PHE and construction industry guidelines. Comments are closed.
