HS2 Update

As indicated in a previously blog we are hosting a visit from Sir Mark Worthington who is the Independent Commissioner  for HS2 on Wednesday 3rd April. We will be taking him around the area to talk  him through the hot spots affected by HS2 ground works and construction. In addition to this a number of weeks ago I wrote to Jeremy Wright MP with regards to the increasing costs, poor communication, project planning and the ongoing impact on our area. In turn Jeremy contacted the Department   of Transport and he has agreed to share their reply which is attached. It is as expected bland however it is our intention to keep the pressure on to get improvements on an ongoing basis .
