HS2 update/Amendment -Cubbington woods

Following yesterdays post and several discussions today we appear to have ambiguity about HS2 and enforcement action in Cubbington Woods, our belief from Friday is that they were suspending any action until the review is complete.
There is now a bit of a split interpretation which we are seeking to confirm, one interpretation is the point we made, and the other is that they haven’t acted now but there is still an issue of trespass.
As a result of this we have checked TODAY that HS2 have NOT filed for any enforcement action in the high court currently and as a result of the ambiguity we are asking HS2 directly once more to confirm that they are not pursuing ANY high court action until the review is complete, NOR that they will be continuing to remove vegetation or trees as agreed.
I am also aware of some issues around Crackley Woods today which is being looked into.
Finally, I apologise for the potential confusion, and we are seeking complete and thorough clarification, in the mean time please be assured we are doing everything we can to support and protect the community.
