Following a number of discussions, we are pleased to say that we have secured the funding for a feasibility study to put a bridge in over the River Avon to link up green spaces with the Coventry Gateway South Country Park.
What does this mean? There is an ongoing strategy to link up green spaces across Warwick District for full public use and these now allocated monies will be used to look at the feasibility of linking up both The Coventry Gateway South Country Park with other green space areas to the south of the Warwickshire District Council areas to provide a pubic and wildlife amenity. The monies for this feasibility study have been secured from Warwick District Council led by Local District Councillors Cllr Pam Redford & Cllr Trevor Wright working with the Local Parish Councils of Bubbenhall & Bagington, Segro , & Warwick District Council Officers. There's a long way to go, however we believe that if we can get a bridge in place, it will make the area a wonderful network of green spaces for wildlife to thrive whilst at the same time giving robust access to green spaces in our area. Finally, we would like to thank all those involved in helping to get to this first stage. Comments are closed.
