Welcome back and we hope you have had a good holiday.
During this period both Cllr Pam Redford and Cllr Trevor Wright have been busy dealing with significant issues around HS2, The Kings Hill Development, the A46 junction at Stoneleigh plus all the usual planning and community safety elements. This week has been a return to normal for us with a significant number of virtual meetings with several our Parish Councils and Warwick District Council business. In August due to a number of changes following lock down we have seen more and more businesses and organisations such as St Marys Cubbington begin to try and get back to normal whilst at the same time dealing with the restrictions currently in place. Like you we have missed our families too and have been pleased to meet up with them as I am sure you have. The “eat out” scheme seems to have worked well and we have been delighted to be able to support local businesses and organisations through the various Council Grant and loan schemes. We know like you we are in for a tough and busy time moving forward particularly as we face changes to the planning process, the potential re-structuring and alignment of councils and of course the financial challenges and risk to services. “RURAL LIVES MATTER” Cllr Pam Redford and Cllr Trevor Wright understand the challenges being faced and very much aware of the local feelings currently about all these matters and you can be sure we will be working to get the best we can moving forward.
