Over the past week or so we have been updating and encouraging small businesses to apply for the grants available to support them, and by way of an UPDATE WDC have now paid nearly 1800 grants totalling nearly £23.5m
The WDC business team are now contacting the businesses that haven’t yet applied in addition to dealing with queries associated with obtaining the grants. We would like to thank all of you who have passed the message out to local businesses to apply & if you can continue to do so it would be hugely appreciated. So how are we doing in terms of Business grants ? Today the government have produced a table showing of all the authorities across the country, in terms of grants paid, and Warwick District Council have come out as 47th out of 314th which as we are one of the smallest authorities is not bad at all and is in fact a credit to all those who worked over recent weekends including Easter to support and process the applications. BUT WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP AND SUPPORT IN MAKING SURE OUR LOCAL BUSINESSES GET THE HELP THEY MAY NEED And you can do this by continuing to pass on the message and by encouraging them to apply, we have the money from central government and we don’t really want to hand any of it back , so if you know anyone who qualifies and may benefit please encourage them to apply by going to the following link :- www.warwickdc.gov.uk/info/20827/coronavirus/1553/coronavirus_information_for_businesses/2 Comments are closed.
