Why not come along and see what is happening in your area.
In the past week we have been out and about talking with people in our respective areas, and we have discussed your feelings on the issue of Brexit and fully understand your anger at the present situation.
We are every bit as angry at the way Parliamentarians in central government on both sides of the political spectrum are behaving currently with regards to the failure in delivering the democratic vote and will of the people with regards to Europe.
Whilst we understand your position and concerns, we would ask you to please look carefully at the success of the Conservative controlled Warwick District Council along with our contribution in dealing with your local concerns and issues.
As District Councillors we have no control over the decisions of National politicians, and as District Councillors we have made no promises about Brexit, as it is not within our power to do so.
Naturally some peoples anger, and disappointment is the same as ours and both Cllr Pam Redford and Cllr Wright have delivered everything we have committed to whilst at the same time remaining open and honest.
We have no control over Brexit, and we want the democratic will of the people to prevail.
What we would like to ask is that you consider all that has been achieved over the past four years by your Conservative controlled District Council and here are several examples :
Made transformational investments in leisure facilities across the District
Supported our most vulnerable residents with new council houses
A Homeless shelter and prioritised our green, open spaces
Since 2015 we have protected the front-line services important to you
and your family and kept tax low
We are protecting our environment with electric vehicle charging
points in our car parks and housing developments. We are also working
to improve quality
We are working to reduce plastic waste and improve recycling
We have committed over £4 million to communities’ initiatives.
We have built the first new council housing in 30 years and halved the waiting lists.
This is just a small list of what has already achieved in addition to our direct involvement in issues such as HS2,Commercial & Residential developments, Anti-Social behaviour and the restructuring of major highway elements.
We would like to acknowledge how you are feeling right now about the way Brexit has been handled, but would ask you to consider all the local achievements of the Conservative District Council and along with our contribution within our own area by voting for us on May 2nd
